Jeff Starfield

Before joining Northeast Business Partners, Jeff Starfield was an entrepreneur and professional consultant with experience in companies both large and small.  He worked as a business consultant with M.C. Geffen and Associates in Cape Town, South Africa and then in Boston, MA with C.W. Downer & Co. (now Alantra), an independent, global mid-market M&A boutique firm. Mr. Starfield has continued his consulting work with Community Action Partners, a volunteer organization of Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School alumni helping Boston-area nonprofits apply management skills to their business challenges. His CAP projects have included the USS Constitution Museum, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, The Food Project and the Peabody Essex Museum.

Mr. Starfield is founder and president of CD\Works – a digital media (CD, DVD, USB) duplication company in Marblehead, MA.  Previous to that, he was founder and CEO of Alpine Restaurants Inc., operator of Ruggles pizza restaurants, in partnership with Associated Newspapers, a UK public company.  He later acquired and ran Baby Watson Retail Corp, Inc, operator of sandwich and cheesecake restaurants.  Mr. Starfield has B.Sc. and B.A. degrees and a post-graduate Diploma in Computer Science from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.  He is President, US of the IDDA – the International Disc Duplicating Association.

Mark Parsekian

Mr. Parsekian has combined his almost 30 years of sales and marketing experience with his entrepreneurial spirit to create a number of successful small business ventures. For close to three decades, his sales, marketing and training skills have brought him national recognition with various natural nutritional companies he has represented in the direct selling industry. He has been featured in a number of national and local publications for his team building approach in developing successful sales organizations and relationship building training techniques. Prior to co-founding Northeast Business Partners he was senior broker and top producer of another Boston based business brokerage firm. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University and is a Massachusetts licensed real estate professional. Mark resides in Milton, MA with his wife Erin and son Liam.  He is an avid runner and a member of the L Street Running Club and L Street Brownies of South Boston, MA.

Ron HillIN MEMORIAM:        Ronald L. Hill, CBI

It is with great sadness that Northeast Business Partners reports the passing of Ron Hill of coronavirus on April 19th.  He retired from full time work in 2017 and was living in Belmont, Massachusetts at the time of his death.  Ron was well known in the brokerage business for his professionalism and low key manner.  After joining a Boston area business brokerage firm in 2000 as Senior Broker and Vice President, he co-founded Northeast Business Partners in 2003.  Before that he was CEO of a provider of  diversified health services where he led the merger and acquisition of over 15 separate entities. From 1990 to 2000 he built and sold a successful multi-unit business in the service sector. Ron completed post graduate studies in Healthcare Administration at Purdue University, the certificate program in Healthcare Marketing from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Finance and held a degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University. He was a member of the IBBA (International Business Brokers Association) where he earned his Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation, the M&A Source (Association of Merger & Acquisition Professionals), the Institute of Business Appraisers and a licensed real estate professional.  Ron will be missed but he will be remembered as a calm, thoughtful and kind man.
